IMCA ltd was set up in 1998 with the takeover of a familiar engineering enterprise in the area of Civitavecchia.

From that day on, the quest for a more competitive dimension and the general trend towards better structuring of the whole state participation system, led to a series of company restructuring, internationalization to achieve a competitive dimension.  This brought the company to reconsider its role and its performing standards in all the different phase in which the project process consists. Thanks to its professionalism and its high-quality of service, which the company has always offered to its clients, I.M.C.A. ltd has always registered an increasing level of performance both nationally and internationally.

Among its business goals, in 2001 I.M.C.A. joined the Consortium ICC (Civitavecchia’s Enterprise Group) as the main engineering enterprise of the team. As the leader enterprise, I.M.C.A. operated on the transformation in combined cycle of section 1, 2 and 3 of the thermoelectric plant “Torrevaldaliga Sud” and on the transformation in coal-cycle and its environmental adaptation of ENEL Produzione Thermoelectric plan “Torrevaldaliga Nord” both in Civitavecchia.

Furthermore, in 2008 the enterprise started to have international business relations with a special preference for the Mediterranean and the Middle East Area, including the Gulf region. To this end, in 2010 I.M.C.A. signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Tecnoelettra Middle East Co. WLL, a Bahraini enterprise.

This new wave of internationalization can be summarized with the words of I.M.C.A. Managing Director, Miss Sabrina Piroli: “….we have always been committed to the possibility of exporting our knowledge and our technical experience to the most competitive regions of the world. This is the way to test ourselves and our capabilities while exploring new fields of business in the most relevant key sector of world industry”.

In addition, I.M.C.A. has also started to expand its activity in the green and renewable energy sector, mostly in the construction of solar park.
